pieeyed Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Cock fighting is not a bad sport for the birds. It is when they spur them up and a fight is to the death with only one winner. Sometimes even the winner does not pull through.Sent from my CPH1823 using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
Brigand Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 (edited) The Thai guy should have said his "roosters" have been taken ... cock fighting is illegal here due to the gambling that obviously accompanies it, although out in the sticks the there is little law enforcement unless a major thing. Proudly saying that his illegal fighting cocks worth 30k baht each have been swallowed should warrant an investigation into his extracurricular activities really. Some people draw far too much attention to themselves with their big fat mouths. Edited June 22, 2019 by Brigand 1
gk10002000 Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 At the old Dusit Bangkok zoo, there are tons of them all over the place sunning themselves next to the water there. The monitor like the komodo dragons don't cook well as they really do have toic bacteria batches that are to be avoided, but I think these species are not toxic. But better safe than sorry. Green iguanas in the western hemisphere are cooked up all the time as are many other lizards

This photo taken years ago shows the villagers with a good-sized lizard. Dead. When the chickens or duck go missing there is invariably a water monitor lizard in the area. The creatures are usually shot and then thrown back into the river. Surprisingly, this is one thing the locals don't eat... The Burmese eat them.

lamyai3 Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 I missed the hyphen in the headline. Was anticipating a yarn about a rogue chicken with a long string of similar burglaries under his lizard skin belt.
