I'm off to Sweden on Monday to work there, yes Sweden, Blondes! Brunettes! and even Redheads!

Sweden may not be exotic, it's covered in snow and colder than a Thai chiller cabinet,

but the women are warm and inviting and sooooooooo beautiful, yippeeee!

I remember , decades ago , the myths circulating in England about Swedish

womenfolk.

At that time :

Swedes were typically blond and this was still considered attractive not stupid.

The pornography that circulated illegally in England came largely from Sweden.

Ergo , Sweden was populated by beautiful women who banged like a sh*thouse

door in a gale.

At a later date I had occasion to make many work trips to Stockholm.

A lot of the women were less than stunningly attractive (OK some were

especially the two who invited me in for a drink when I stopped to ask

directions after losing myself in the boondocks outside Stockholm - an

offer I to this day regret declining just because I was already late for a

stupid meeting).

Don't get your hopes too high.

Even in March bring warm clothing (I had near-death experiences

there in winter).

Start saving up beer money NOW (alcohol was obscenely expensive).

I was back in the UK for a week and I got offered the job here and thought <deleted> it, the choice wasn't hard, go and work on a night shift painting vans in Corby or come here, Sweden; scenic, chilled out, ladies....

The work ethic is always better outside the UK and the staff at the company here have been spot on.

I went out for the first recce tonight and nearly choked on my small beer when I saw the price, £3 for .4L, ffffffffffffffffkin how much!?

Needless to say I didn't get drunk and I thought well it's time for a detox anyway, LOL.

I was talking to a woman at work and she said 'if you want a good night out, go on the train to such and such a place and then get on the ferry, it's 15 minutes and you are in Helsingborg and there are many pubs and the beer is cheap'

So basically if you want a good piss up in Sweden, go to Denmark!

Well if I'm not drinking I'll be saving my holiday tokens.
