The results are not surprising from this institute, formerly known as Thai researchers association  for community happiness, which used to be headed by a general and to publish polls with 98.4% rate of satisfaction for Prayut.

Until presented with evidence to the contrary. Given that the win was hardly what they hoped for, are you assuming incompetence as well as corruption to fit your little conspiracy theory?

Are you assuming the survey was rigged too?

The election rigging has been extensively documented in this forum and in the medias. Just to mention a few examples: opposition prevented to campaign until late, 2 millions extra votes mysteriously appearing then disappearing,  the detailed account of votes not published after 3 months, conscripts voting in offices staffed by the military with officers checking votes, 300 complaints buried by the EC, etc.. You are the only one in this forum who pretends that these elections were not rigged.

About Super Poll, I already commented about It before.

And 100% are fed up with surveys.

  • Maybe because there are no real good choices they are almost all corrupt. Then people just think ok he is corrupt but he helps me too. This wont change until they seriously increase punishment for cor

  • Absolutely. As a Brit I am at the point where my head is in danger of exploding every time I hear or read the word ‘Brexit’.

It doesn't matter who's in Charge they will ALL end up corrupt and Civil Servants are the most corrupt so until they fix that bit forget about any honest politician. Haha the Booogeyman again.

Honest politicians could, in theory, clean up the police and the bureaucracy. Prayut exposed at least some of them.

These polls are always so meaningless and unbelievable.

As if 40% of the Thai people believe that Prayut should be head of the Phalang Pracharat Party - i.e. effectively head of the 'Government'!

If they do - then Thailand is in more serious trouble than even I thought!

Be careful opposing the 'Government' may affect your health ????

Personally I am frustrated that people vote again and again for the same old corrupt politicians or their family members and then somehow they expect an honest government.

If Thais want a good government why do they vote for corrupt politicians? Strange!

All politicians are corrupt.... it's the depth that varies.

He only went after those who are dispensable. Don't see him exposing his family and side-kicks blatant corruption.

It is not strange at all.  The system only serves those who are corrupt.  Few decent people want to have to flee in the middle of the night, or do something unsavory.   You may hate Thacksin, but criminals are usually better for a country than those who think they are lofty and can do no wrong.

Recalcitrant junta apologist shamelessly avoid your point that corrupt politicians can be dealt with by the law and subsequently by the people.

I think nearly all politicians, in nearly all nations, are rather useless. Few really care about the people, and once they get to the national level, it is about appeasing lobbyists, collecting as much money as possible, and their constituents, become the least of their concerns. The days of noble and righteous politicians are well behind us. If you need proof positive of this, just look at the current Thai parliament, or the US Senate or Congress. Useless.

Most Thais I know have completely given up HOPE with Thai politics - which is a different finding from the survey - the survey didnt seem to be clear on what Thais mean when they say "Fed Up".  My friends unanimously have a sense that nothing they do or say counts for anything so why bother and that the general direction the country is heading in is not positive.

That wont happen because no matter who is in power they only investigate their enemies and will never votes for laws that have real teeth as it could bite them in the ass later on.

I find they are frustrated at the obvious manipulation and the 'old guard' winning every time because the 'system' is in their pocket.

Proving the point that there are better chances of eradicating corruption when you have consistent democracy than countries that have consistent corrupt coups denying and stagnating the people to enhance their empowerment to vote.

Add "World Wide" and you're right on the mark.

Basically it's because 10% of the world's population are parasitically attached to the 90%.
Politicians are the cement that binds the parasite to it's host.

Where does that insight come from?

And when you become too vocal about being fed up you find out what a baton feels like.
