This is going to give a serious hit to team democrat at such a vital stage heading into the 2020 election run. It highlights the complete historical lack of morality at the top of the party.

The fallout on this is very, very wide.  It stretches beyond US borders.

I don't think so, He's being charged with trafficking minors between NY and Florida. Crossing state lines. Pretty sure it's the feds.

Yes, federal court. Strategy seems to be charge him in federal court, if he is pardoned he will be admitting guilt.  Then he'll be charged in NY state court on new charges.  It was explained to me that somehow this strategy removes his ability to plead the 5th.  Any lawyers out there care to comment?

The former hedge fund manager who is known for socializing with politicians and royalty has been investigated in the past.

Part of his success was his ability to socialise (network), So yes he will have been seen with many people, Clinton, Trump, Randy Andy just name a few.

It is old news that the Duchess of York received payments to introduce people to her Ex.

I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out that his ability to moneylaunder and then arrange kompromat to make sure he was never busted is behind his success

The Fifth Amendment gives an individual the right to withhold information that might incriminate them-self.

A pardon removes the possibility of criminal charges and hence negates the Fifth Amendment Rights.

So handing out a pardon removes the right to withhold evidence.

The courts may then hold an individual who has been pardoned in contempt if they withhold testimony/evidence.

The contempt is backed by limitless(?) fines and possible serial detentions until compliance is surrendered.

Chelsea Manning, currently before the Grand Jury but refusing to cooperate, is an example of the process.

Let's hope for better quality deflections.

Whilst I understand why those connected to him (and likely enjoying his activities) will deservedly come under the spotlight - this thread is about epstein and the even more appalling trafficking charge that he pretty much escaped back in '07.  Namely,

"Financier Jeffrey Epstein was arrested late on Saturday on suspicion of sex trafficking of underage girls and will appear in federal court in Manhattan on Monday, a source familiar with the matter said, meaning he will face charges similar to those he avoided in a 2007 plea deal."

Thai Visa never disappoints. Lots of partisan outrage, but absolutely none on behalf of the girls.

True, but to be fair, this story has been around for quite awhile and some may have been expressing outrage for quite awhile. The new story is that Epstein is finally facing the music for real.

It seems to me the story has to do with prosecutorial malfeasance or at best misfeasance.

paying employees to bring victims to him

What kind of employees would do that? More of the same ilk. Lowlifes. If found guilty, I hope he will be sued into oblivion. Original "sentence" agreed because of who he might have implicated. Plea bargain system is a bad joke. Either you are guilty or you are not.

The number of links between Epstein and Trump make that inevitable.

Surely you know that the ONLY reason this story is on the front pages is because of Epstein's association with Trump.  Nobody knows or cares about Epstein.  Yes, the guy is a total slimeball pedo.  But what everyone really wants to know is what he and Trump have done with underage girls.

The upper reaches of power and influence are populated by filth. Those are the kind of people that make it to the top and they network with each other to perpetuate the atmosphere of depravity. This is what humans who have everything get up to. And it has been going on for millennia.

That is generally true. I liked the Roosevelts though.

Don't forget Teddy! Both are generally considered to be among the top 5 presidents that the US has ever had.

In various reports Kevin Spacey is mentioned as an associate. Trying to fit that piece into the jigsaw.

Trump will be sweating bullets and hope his friend stays mum- Trump has ties to convicted pedophile and Democratic donor, billionaire Jeffery Epstein and "Sex Slave Island."

Some matters for consideration:

Under age in Florida is defined as 18.  The rest of the US it is 16,  Although You might want to note that in the state of Hawaii the age of consent was 14 until 2001 when it was raised to 16.   Thus in Hawaii up until 2001  Jeffrey Epstein would probably not have been considered a 'child' sex offender.

You should also consider the political and financial motivation behind the   Epstein case.  There was a lot of money to be made from suing a Billionaire by these girls ( many of which visited Epstein on numerous occasions voluntary) and particularly their bloodsucking lawyers.

Previously, He pleaded guilty to two state charges of solicitation , one of these being solicitation of under age girls.  ( Florida is defined as 18)

This is also another attempt to get at Trump. Other then the fact that Epstein was Trumps neighbor at Palm Beach and he thought he (Epstein) was a "great guy who liked his girls a  bit on the young side" there is no evidence that he participated with Epstein's girls.

I wonder how many of our readers would be considered 'child' sex offenders in the state of Florida

I would hazard a guess that the lack of morality at the top anywhere crosses most political divides, not just one party.

I think Trump has a "type", and its the hot Eastern European babes like the one in the picture. It's not that he's too good to engage in that kind of activity. I think he's probably too scared, and rightfully so.

Perhaps no evidence has been made public, but there have certainly been allegations against Trump...

[During the presidential campaign in 2016, a lawsuit was filed by a woman who alleged she was raped by Trump at a party at Epstein’s in 1994 when she was 13. She dropped the lawsuit days before the election.]

The sex thing is certainly a big part of it.  But there may be so much more.  For those of you unfamiliar with the supposed backstory:

"There is a direct financial connection between Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein that is at the root of their relationship. A name that few mention. And I'm not talking about Mogilevich. "FOLLOW THE DAMN MONEY." "

The one in the picture is Melania Knauss.  Now Melania Trump.  The one in blue is Ghislaine Maxwell, who allegedly facilitated the recruitment of the girls.  She also happens to be the daughter of Robert Maxwell.  Looks like the fruit doesn't fall far from the yacht in that family.
