Sporting director of Thai League 1 outfit hints at CFG acquisition.

 

City Football Group (CFG), the owners of Premier League giants Manchester City, has been linked with the takeover of Thai League 1 outfit Muangthong United.

 

Following local reports that CFG is looking at growing its ownership portfolio with a Thai addition, Ronnarit Suewaja, Muangthong’s sporting director, hinted his club were the target.

Suewaja told Bangkok Post: “It is normal for a world-class club like Manchester City with an international presence to expand into the Thai market. Whether it will be Muangthong United or some other team, you will have to wait to find out.”

 Not sure looking at the team with the worst hooligans in Thailand is a good idea. Buy Bangkok United and move them back to Bangkok would be a better fit.

^ the worst hooligans' really ?  went to loads of games home and away  NEVER saw many probs     yet every time i went to port, their fans were ALWAYS causing trouble    home and away.. has that changed?
