Mobile WiFi for UK?

Featured Replies

Hello people. Can anyone suggest the cheapest mobile wifi unit and pay as you go package for a 2 week trip to UK? I usualy buy a sim card for the phone but you are not allowed to use it as a hot spot. Last time i was back there it was a nightmare finding good mobile wifi for the laptop - coffee shops, pubs, even half the hotels all hook up to some naff 02 network that gives you 30 mins and rarely works. But then buying a mobile wifi device lools pricet just for 2 weeks. Any suggestions?

Hardly visa or immigration related, I’ll move it to the mobile devices forum, where you may get a better response.
I brought a 3 sim in December and it was still active when I returned last month.
Pretty sure I was able to use it as a hot spot with my Thai phone whilst there, but not 100% sure.

You can pop into Argos to pick up or order a package for £20.

Best to order it now if you can, as it is an excellent price and the MiFi is easily unlocked for £1. So can then be used worldwide with any local SIM.
