Tailbone injury - Which type doctor to see

Featured Replies

Hello, I recently fell over and it seems like I may have injured my Tailbone. I want to go to a hospital and get it checked out but I do not know what type of doctor to visit.

Can someone please advise what type of doctor I need to see?

Can a chiropractor also help or should I see a medical doctor and maybe get xrays etc. first

I was thinking of going to Bumrungrad in Bangkok. Would they be ok for this type of thing or is there a better more specialised hospital or doctor someone can recommend. I do not know much about the hospitals here in Bangkok

Cheers and thanks

Yes, an ortho.

Do not get chirpractic treatment until you have seen an ortho and had Xrays.

Any ortho can handle this. Bumrungrad will cost far more than other places. I would suggest St Louis Hospital on Sathorn or Bangkok Christian Hospital on Silom.

Bangkok Christian Hospital has walk-in registration and excellent, reasonably priced service.  It is a 5 minute walk on Silom from The Sala Daeng BTS station.
