First Trip In a Few Years. Need Good Pool

Featured Replies

Finally could break away from work and head to the LOS.  Been there a dozen times before.  Will have three weeks and a few days up in Bangkok.  Don't plan to travel around much.  This is just a getaway, foot massage, eat lots of german and thai food, some night life etc.   In the past I stayed at all the usuals, Flipper Lodge/Hotel, Eastiny Place, Diana Inn, etc.  Did not like the Flippers the last time around as they include a crappy breakfast buffet that I don't eat.  Really looking for a nice pool that gets some sun as I want to swim in the warm weather every day.  A place with some decent reclining deck lounge chairs.  Just about any location is fine.  Up off Soi Bukhao, Soi arranoipet or whatever.  Don't really care.   So many new places have popped up.  If anybody has a decent place in mind, please comment.   Don't see a reason to exceed 1200 or maybe 1500 baht a night during off season, but open minded to some more comfort.  I am looking on line now.  This was a last minute breakaway from work.  I'm single, a small butterfly but the place has to be guest friendly.   I could even take a nice guesthouse and pay by day at a nearby hotel for pool usage.

I will take a look.   I was thiikning of the chaba hut.  I like that general location, easy to Pattaya Klang or walk down to second road.  Plants around the pool area.  Thanks.

Diana Inn

Demolished, and a high-rise condo is going up where it was. There is another finished one next door that functions almost entirely as a Chinese hotel.

You are going to notice a lot of other changes too, and you will stand out if you are not Chinese or Indian or Arab.

Pool View Deluxe 950 if booked for seven days or more.

Someone will check in there on Aug 2 :whistling:

Only book poolview. Rooms to the street can be noisy (bars opposite).

They have a safety box room behind reception which is not the worst solution if you bring your own locker.

Never experienced reception empty.

Nice location and greenery but will probably not go there again.

Non existing security. Everyone can walk in unchecked.

Seems everyone down to the park attendant has the master code for the room safes.

My experience.

Reception often void and not what I would call friendly.

On Soi Lengkee two cheap places with a good pool, basic rooms:

Opey de Place, J&P Court (JP Court).

Nature View and JP Court can only be booked directly at the hotel.

I saw prices for the Areca Lodge at this time close to your upper limit. Think about it.

Big pool in the sun, other smaller pool shaded. They renovated their street front recently.

Sutus Ct. has a very nice pool.  Rooms are spacious with balconies, furnished with heavy, basic old style furniture mattresses are ok.  Under B1000/night
