Declared your assets like all MPs. Why hid behind that idiosyncratic ruling by the NACC allowing all 7 previous NCPO ministers not to declare their assets.

The clearest sign of corruption you can get

Why the concern about corruption? The great and benevolent leader has already insured happiness. He is lowering unemployment. He is growing the economy. He is increasing tourism revenue. He is increasing exports. He is abiding by all of the terms of the ASEAN charters he signed, and allowing the duty free importation of all beer throughout ASEAN, as insured in a recent charter that Thailand signed. They are on all of the supermarket shelves as we speak. We are not longer subject to the very low quality local beers. He is making visa policy easy, simple and streamlined, and all tourists and ex-pats are very happy about that. He is improving traffic and public safety. Corruption is being eliminated, and innocent fall guys are no longer getting charged for murder, and being put to death. The taxi mafia on Samui and Phuket have been eliminated, and tourists can now get a taxi at a fair price. Samui and Phuket are also developing low cost mass transit systems, as we speak. Life is better for all now that this great man is demonstrating his genius and vision on a daily basis. All he cares about is the welfare of his own people, and the happiness of both tourists and the ex-pat community. He contemplates this day and night.

What parallel universe are you inhabiting :)??

I want to know how he became prime minister on a soldiers salary?

I guess not by using funds from corruption in the election campaign?

Keep on dreaming about a corruption free Thailand, sadly it's never happening.

Started off with taking over the government with his army buddies

He said 80 per cent of the department budget was spent on procurement of fire engines, which were parked unused.

Just a reminder of the incompetence and corruption within the Thai government.

He insisted that no departments and state firms of the Interior Ministry had engaged in corruption during the five years when he was the interior minister.

A very bold statement to make !

Perhaps they can start by finding out how commercial Thai Visa Agents obtain valid, official, and authentic visa extension stamps for their clients who do not have enough money in the bank to qualify for retirement extension.  Until they do that, any discussion of a zero tolerance policy on corruption is hot air.
Thai politicians alone are probably responsible for global warming in SE Asia.

The few Prayut government "crackdowns" that I recall were forced by publicity created from low-level government civil servant whistleblowers and citizens injured by government corruption. The government had a choice to coverup the corruption with defamation lawsuits or find a few government scapegoats to serve as examples of government crime fighting.

But on the whole the Prayut government effectively promoted corruption through Article 44 typically used on government projects. Among laws and regulations Article 44 Orders bypassed were anti-corruption laws!

Five years of no transparency, no accountability. Let's see how PM Prayut functions now with real political opposition in the NLA.

People grossly overestimate the power of the army here. Sure, they lock people up from time to time. But, they are a fairly feckless, small cat, and nobody is particularly afraid of them. Least of all me.

Saw a similar situation to the fire engine one.

Nangrong.

A small town near Buriram.

At the back of the station,  approximately 30 new Honda CB 250 bikes in police regalia.

Lined up and chacMned together.

That's a lot of bikes for a small station.

Maybe it was buy one, get one free.

Prayut has instructed all government agencies to be strict against corruption. Just make sure any flows thru to the top

And this is the same guy who every year since 2014 (incl) promised and told the world about Thai elections the following year? If anyone of us did that we would be called liars!

Now, he says, be strict against corruption! And the result will be..................... pigs will fly? ????
