It won't come within a mile of Prayut. It will stop at Big Oud, who will proceed to make life very difficult for a lot of people with minimum effort and using existing laws and rules. The website crashed twice today because there was too much traffic. The petition text in English has been revised to be more readable. I am part of this group and we need 10,000 signatures to change things, Below that, they will not listen to us. I have lived in Thailand for 15 years, I work for a law firm. There is nothing illegal to tell how you feel about a law. Some people in our group have Thai families, work hard, pay taxes. We tried to add testimonials with pictures but people are quite scared. I would like to appeal the Thaivisa community to SIGN THIS PETITION as if nothing is done, nothing will change. Some applications online do not work, it is currently a mess and not necessary. We are screen by immigration, give our address every 90 days, checked at airports and country entrances, etc. How many foreigners live in Thailand? How many spend a weekend in another province? Do you imagine the lost of time to manage this? This is not to protect terrorism. My personal opinion, it is useless and bureaucracy. In the old law of 1979 and need a change. If you do not like it, do not sign, and I won't answer comments here. I take care of 4 children and manage a law firm. I have permanent residency and don't even have to do TM30, TM28 or TM47. I'm not sure I would want to sign something like that although I certainly agree with the sentiment. Of course, you are sure about that. But some people do know generals in Thailand and some high rank people. Contesting in Court was not the best option. I know some high people and we will see. You're wrong Imho the only people who were not allowed to stay temporary under section 34 when they arrived, but then later allowed to stay temporary and thus falling under section 37 are stateless people and people who were granted asylum in Thailand, after they illegally crossed a Thai border. I thought it's unlikely to have a member with such a status here on Thaivisa, so i said "probably everybody here". You know any other case? I try to make it hard for them. this petition hasn't got anything to do with anybodies birthday. don't care about humiliating extensions, just do border runs every 3 months for shopping and come back with a few hundred baht savings. Save time and nerves. And no need to improve their circus. They exactly know what they are doing, they are doing it on purpose. Instead falling into their trap try to outsmart them. Sorry for inconveniences if any. It doesn't matter. If amended after signature, even by one word, or a punctuation mark, it's start again or show individual signatory approval. Otherwise a line can be drawn across the petition back as far as the last amendment time and date and names above that line can be disregarded. I'm trying to assist here but I have no stake in this. The petition is clearly focused on the pain and suffering of the foreigner. I don't think immigration has any interest in our suffering at all. I would suggest they focus on the negative impact it is placing on Thailand's economy and the global image of Thailand. Share some factual negative examples and how word is spreading on the internet. This, my friend, will attract the media, newspapers, and the attention they are hoping for. Examples: Thai condo owners not willing to rent to foreigners. Foreign employment talent not coming to Thailand. Empty condos lead to lower property values (i.e., impact to real estate). Etc. Most hospitals probably have an employee who does the TM30 for foreign patients if they stay at the hospital.
