Iran says meeting with parties to nuclear deal 'constructive'

VIENNA (Reuters) - An emergency meeting with parties to Iran's 2015 nuclear deal was constructive but there are unresolved issues and Tehran will continue to reduce its nuclear commitments if Europeans fail to salvage the pact, Iranian official Abbas Araqchi said on Sunday.

Lottery saving scheme to launch mid-August

The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) will launch the two-year lottery saving scheme at Bt20 per unit with an interest rate of 0.5 per cent a year in the middle of August, the bank’s executive vice president Somkiat Kimawaha said on Monday.

CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Sunday said two former FARC commanders from neighboring Colombia whose whereabouts are unknown were "welcome in Venezuela," a statement likely to fuel criticism that he is providing a safe haven for armed groups.

Water resources projects on track: ONWR

The Office of the National Water Resources (ONWR) is planning to move forward with 100 water management projects worth Bt400 billion before the end of the year to boost available water up to 2.9 million cubic metres and cover the needs of 630,000 families nationwide, the office's secretary-general Somkiat Prajanwong said recently.

Commerce Ministry promotes market integration in fruit pricing

BANGKOK, 29 July 2019 (NNT) - Selling prices at farms for some fruit such as mangosteens have recently plummeted due to an oversupply during the harvest season. The Department of Internal trade has now invited retailers including petrol stations to join a video conference with commercial affairs officials across the country, to find applicable solutions to the problem.

Free rides on MRT Blue Line extension

Six drug suspects arrested in 10 days, B1.4mn in assets seized

PHUKET: Phuket Provincial Police have announced the arrests of six drug suspects within a span of just 10 days. The arrests, carried out from July 19-28, saw the seizure of 1,933 ya bah (methamphetamine) pills, 57.82 grams of ya ice (crystal meth) and B1.425 million in assets.

Premier assures policies can be implemented

They claim that the new government’s policies are roughly defined and doubted that they can be put to work. Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha assured that the policies can be implemented and pledged to take into account the various views expressed during the debate.
