Oh I think it all can be done no problem. All they have to do is raise taxes to 90% problem solved!

Don't forget to print trillions of dollars while we are at it. If they could actually do (it will never happen they would need both chambers and the WH) I will have a laugh at what happens to the dollars of the Americans living abroad who support this crap.

How refreshing to hear someone actually make sense. As a Canadian who has enjoyed free medical care (btw, our taxes aren't much higher than in the US & and we consistently rank around #1 in country rankings) for my entire life, I find it so odd that so many Americans want to keep the rip off insurance companies in business. If everyone is given free medical care, why would anyone obsess about keeping their wonderful private insurance? Wouldn't it make more sense to cover everyone, and let rich people pay more to speed up the waiting time for elective surgery?  As for free tuition in universities, why not?  If you don't invest in your people first, what sort of country do you expect to end up with.... Oh yeah, that one!! ????

Yea well, while your busy enjoying your free healthcare, the USA is is busy protecting the free world and little insignificant countries like yours, otherwise you’d have been speaking German, Russian, or Chinese years ago.  You have no military budget to speak of cause you are riding the coattails of the American taxpayers.

The people who want all this "free" stuff are the same ones who will start complaining when their taxes go through the roof to pay for it. The trouble with socialism/marxism is that eventually you run out of other peoples' money.

Which is why it's a good thing that 17% of the American economy is devoted to health care. The highest in the world. But on the other hand, it ranks near the bottom in quality among economically developed nation.

I liked Sanders last time but now he looks old and ragged with a portion of sour grapes thrown in. His time has come and gone as for Warren she doesn't know what race she is.

He will be lucky to be alive in 4 years with his anger issues.

You don't seem to have a problem with the massive increase in budget deficits created by the Republicans.

Comparisons like that are odious. I actually believe in the UK system but it has to be PAID FOR at source from wages and salaries. It is only FREE at the point of delivery.

Try leaving more than 6 months. There are conditions.

just watched some debate highlights... wow.... Bernie got the fire in his belly ...lucky they have meds for that,  .... a real panderfest, Don Lemon as moderator?  the new guy from Colorado pushing back against the socialist insanity was refreshing...  M. Williamson wins with her chakra cleansing aura.  This may be the most entertaining election campaign in my lifetime.

Thank Trump for the entertainment factor.

Stories like this is why Americans want to keep our healthcare.

TORONTO — WHEN SHARON Shamblaw was diagnosed last summer with a form of blood cancer that could only be treated with a particular stem cell transplant, the search for a donor began. A Toronto hospital, 100 miles east of her home in St. Mary's, Ontario, and one of three facilities in the province that could provide the life-saving treatment, had an eight-month waiting list for transplants.

Four months after her diagnosis, Shamblaw headed to Buffalo, New York, for treatment. But it was too late. She died at the age of 46, leaving behind a husband and three children, as detailed by the Toronto Star.

Right wingers have to resort to cherry picking to justify the American system of health care.

There are many more stories just like it. No need to cherry pick.

I like my healthcare and I will be against anyone that tries to change it.

You must be a fan of Thai government hospitals.

Kamala is the most abusive of the time limits. Biden respects them the most and it is sad that it will be seen was weak as he adheres to the rules. He is a true statesman compared to the likes of most of those that occupy the stage with him. They need to cut mics off in the future.

So that's the choice is it?. How is it that so many developed nations have somehow managed not to choose to adopt Thailand's system or the US system, and still provide better health care.

Of course there will be "many stories." There are about 25 million Canadians. The question is on balance, who's better off? Canadians or Americans?

Are Canadian citizens clamoring for a switch to the American system?

Don't know what the Canadians are "clamoring" to do. Nor do I care.  I like the system we have and that's it. If you don't like it, sorry about that.

Well, I'm sure that legislators in the USA will carefully craft any future health care legislation so as not to disturb the happiness of an anonymous poster on thaivisa.com. Because if public policy isn't about giving you a veto on legislation, what is it good for?
