Insurance recommendation - 59 years old

Featured Replies

Any recommendations for a policy/company/agent?

I'm 59 and my insurance is up for renewal in October just before my birthday.  The company told me when I started the policy a few years ago that they won't renew over age 60 so this would be my last year.

I guess I should find a new policy before I turn 60.  The max I want to pay is 40,000 baht per year.  I have no pre-existing conditions or claim history so that won't be a problem.

Thanks for your suggestions and for keeping this thread civil!

you may be surprised at what pre existing conditions they find going back to birth

What a useless insurance company!

I'd suggest HealthCare International as an alternative.  Their $500,000 policy has a $2,000 excess.  This is an international policy (USA cover only for 30 days), and the policy cannot be terminated by the company regardless of your age, so long as you keep paying the premiums.  If you claim, they cannot increase your premium based on your claims history.  But your annual premium will increase annually due to inflation and when you move into a different age band, (just like all polices of this type).
