Heavy rainfall in the Doi Inthanon national park in Chiang Mai led to the temporary closure of the Mae Klang Waterfall.

Close to 200 mm of rainfall had been recorded at various spots in the area after it began about 5 pm on Sunday afternoon.

A video on the Thai Rath site showed the Mae Klang waterfall and the area near to the Ban Nam Lat bridge.

Locals were warned about damage to agricultural land from flooding and park authorities put up signage closing the waterfall to tourists temporarily.

I do hope this isn't the result of our illustrious leader praying too hard again?

good move, the tourists these days seem more brainless than when I was roaming, it would have just been just a matter of time until some selfie taker offed himself being a fool..
