stubuzz Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 DeeMoney can no longer do this and i don't want to wire it through the bank. I can carry the cash out but i will have to go to Bangkok to exchange it. ( a 5 hour return trip) Are there any other companies that can transfer out. A search found these below but all want a phone number to call you back.
sometimewoodworker Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 You do not say where you are, there are money exchange offices in many major cities, they may have enough Sterling in stock or be able to get it for you in a day or 2.
stubuzz Posted August 13, 2019 Author Posted August 13, 2019 (edited) I am SE of Bangkok: Chachoengsao. A Thai town. I may ask if the bank can order it in. Edited August 13, 2019 by stubuzz
stubuzz Posted August 13, 2019 Author Posted August 13, 2019 Just to update the previous companies cannot send money out of Thailand. Can you order foreign currency at all banks?
Pib Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Why don't you want to use a Thai bank to wire the money, especially if sending a larger amount. Cost would be approx Bt400 to Bt1200 depending on transfer option selected and the bank's TT Selling Rate would be used for the exchange.

They want a copy of my work permit, but i stopped working a few months ago and didn't take a copy of the last stamp. I may ask again, Barclays UK state that to receive a payment will cost 6 pound. phetphet Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Are you saying DeeMoney no longer do money transfers abroad? I have not yet used them, but had read on this site that it was possible, and was planning to use them to do so in the near future.
scotsman Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 (edited) Dee money lost the service to send money to the UK and USA not sure if there is anymore country's they lost but I found this one I have not used it yet but will do in the future if Dee Money does not fix its services. https://www.moneycorp.com/en-gb/campaigns/partners/mycurrencytransfer/ Regards Scotsman Edited August 14, 2019 by scotsman
FracturedRabbit Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 I tried DeeMoney to send funds to Singapore. Took them two weeks, and they claimed the transaction was complete four days before it was credited to my bank. Never again.
