You really don't need it.   Using distilled water just reduces the amount you have to clean the water tank.    I've never used it, generally use bottled water, here. In the US used tap water.

Can get distilled water anywhere that sells auto supplies or in automotive section of Tesco etc. I think I have even seen it at some 7-11s. (Used for car batteries)

As said car battery shops should have - but expect RO filtered water should be fine as almost all minerals are removed.  Most store sold water is RO filtered now (will be marked) and this is also great for steam irons.
