Vera Lynn always reminds me of coming home from school on Monday Mum doing all the washing by hand, clothes drying all over the house and in earlier memories - the whole house festooned with terry nappies and Mum singing Vera Lynn songs at the top of her voice.

And today's forces sweetheart.................she can't sing but certainly makes an impression.
