On 20 March I started the on-line application process for a nonimmigrant visa for my sister-in-law. First, I went on line and got the pin number for B456. Next got the appointment confirmation for 3 April. Then completed the Nonimmigrant Visa Application and submitted it on line and printed it out with the barcoded info. Then I downloaded form DS-157 and completed it. Today she will get a photo and pay the fee at the post office. So we take all forms with us on 3 April and submit them before the interview. So far every thing seems pretty easy. So much so that I suspect I must be missing something! The reason I cautious is that a couple of years ago when we applied for my wifes nonimmigrant visa we had made 3 trips to the embassy, first to submit the forms, second for the interview and third to pick up the visa. Looks like now will only require 1 trip. Have they (US Embassy) realy simplified the procedure or as I asked, am I missing something?
