Just for reference for folk looking for info on this with regards to getting an offshore medical (OGUK) in Pattaya, namley at Pattaya Bangkok Hospital.

 

There are a few archived threads on here with regards to Offshore Medicals but most of them seem to recommend Dr. Vatana at Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok who by all accounts does a good job and is priced at around 3500 baht.

 

I was reluctant to go to Bangkok for one if it was possible at Pattaya Bangkok Hospital so I called, found out it was and made an appointment. It's up on the 5th floor and all in all took a couple of hours but having said that it was fairly well organised with the nurses shuttling you between the various small offices to do the various tests. The tests done were:

 

- Urine

- Eyes

- Blood pressure

- Weight

- Ears/ Audio

- A check with the doctor (heart/ abdominal) for about 2 minutes

 

And that was it. All copies of paperwork done and received for the cost of 2800 baht. Medical cert is for 2 years (standard). Definitely recommended.
