You are confusing Kavanaugh’s hearing with the DoJ investigation into complaints of criminality leveled at Kavanaugh.

Please excuse those of us who do not join you in your confusion:

Well, I am not confused. Confirmations are controlled by the Senate. The Republicans control the Senate. What other outcome were you looking for?

Criminal allegations against Kavanaugh were laid before the Senate and handed off to the DoJ, the WH used the DoJ prerogative to limit the investigation scope and excluding numerous witnesses against Kavanaugh.

The outcome was rigged.

The folly of which was to believe that was the end of the matter.

Kavanagh clearly lied in his confirmation hearing. Not OK for a SCOTUS justice. He has dirtied the court.

Seems like the serial liar in the WH likes to surround himself with other liars and those of dubious character.

He obviously feels at home amongst them!

Yes, because that's exactly how the left and liberal left work. Spiteful against any who dare have a different view to theirs. Constant hounding and witch hunts to try and drive any who they don't consider politically correct out of office.

Yes indeed. The right never engaged in politics when Obama was president:cheesy:

And no proof. What part of that don't you get?

Good to know that you believe that ethics rules don’t apply to Supreme Court nominees as long as they get confirmed.

Again, current US administration supporters don't mind a fascist rule as long as they get their way.

Put it this way: a policeman (not necessarily in Thailand) is searching through your things and finds a packet of cigarette paper.  Can't bust you for that, but what does it tell the cop?  He knows if he looks hard enough he just might find something that changes the game.

Have a look at the Kavanaugh's Senate hearing: he's combative to the point of aggressive, evades questions, and expresses none of the humility one usually bears when seeking Congressional approval.  It is, after all, a job interview, for the biggest job of your life.  The way it usually works in these things is when potentially egregious accusations are made the person being questioned says they welcome an investigation, get all this shinola out of the way once and for all.  When asked if he would welcome an FBI investigation he raved about unfair treatment, his family, Clinton conspiracy, etc.  He was asked several times more ("yes or no, sir?"), which caused further response that devolved into blathering (did he actually cry?), but the senator kept on "yes or no?"  He eventually sat there silent.  After about ten seconds the senator said "I'll take that as a no."

Ok, the point I'm making here is he certainly behaves like he's guilty.  So if you keep looking....

Also, before the woman who did accuse him was brought in to testify, the GOP Senate leader said he doesn't care what she says, the approval is going through -- how's that for fairness?  The entire way his approval was pushed through is a disgrace.
