River. Streams Near Pattaya

HI are there any rivers or streams, even free lakes, near Pattaya, one can fish, about a 30 mile radius, fancy a change from the fishing parks, i did fish the lARGE LAKE what a waste of time that was, snagged every cast, one guy out with a fixed gill net, about 40 feet long, two guys with spear guns swimming around.

You can fish for free at Klong Yai Reservoir (https://goo.gl/maps/5uZ3QYbrd3axmync8), just pull in where the restaurant is. There are usually plenty of Thai guys fishing from the shore there, all using lam pressed into the coil type feeders. I couldn't tell if they were using live bait or bread on the hook but they seemed to be having more success than I was. 

 

I took my boy up there a couple of weeks ago, we didn't catch anything but the Thai guy next to us caught a couple of decent sized carp and a big walking catfish while we were there.
