Daily News reported that 14 employees of Grand Andaman had been taken to hospital last night after a speedboat collision at sea.

The speedboat hit another unspecified vessel on its way back to the mainland from an island.

The media reported district chief Bunchai Somjai and Pak Nam police on the scene at the Grand Andaman pier as rescue services ferried the injured to hospital in Ranong on southern Thailand's Andaman coast.

They said that there were 38 employees on the boat when it was involved in the collision.

The Grand Andaman is a hotel and casino that has exclusive use of an island, notes Thaivisa.

Top secret don't  get involved

It looks to me like another vessel struck the speedboat on its starboard side.

and how lucky for TAT.... no Chinese in the casualties

I didn't see any reference to the time of the accident, but it appears to be dark in the photos. Was the vessel illuminated with the correct navigation lights port and starboard? I assume these words mean something in Thai marine use?
