Thailand welcomes Chevron's resumption of talks to resolve energy dispute

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's energy minister on Sunday welcomed a decision by U.S. energy company Chevron to continue negotiations rather than seek arbitration to resolve a dispute over who should pay for removing offshore oil and gas platforms.

Experts say current Constitution incapable of helping resolve Thailand’s southern unrest

Marginal increase in new companies registering in the EEC

City bus union opposes plan for private sector operation of bus services

The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) labour union has voiced its strong objection to the Transport Ministry’s initiative to contract private companies to operate the city’s bus services and the shelving of its plan to procure a fleet of 3,000 new buses.

Chiang Mai discovers ancient human skeletons

CHIANG MAI (NNT) - Officials from the Fine Arts Office 7, have excavated the Wiang Tha Kan archaeological site, San Pa Tong district, Chiang Mai province. As many as 23 ancient human skeletons and the skeleton of a horse were found. They are thought to be at least a thousand years old.
