OK ,

There is this motorcycle gang out there that prey on Woman and girl motorcycle rider ,

Their target is usually those who hang their handbag on the side of their bike , or easy prey ,

Please speard the words

one of my friends is not in the hospital suffer broken bones

The attacker punch her without mercy and when we fall from her bike there run in and grab her bags and HP and ran off ,

Ta22 getting back to the original post and avoiding any reference to cross bows, beam me up scottie emoticons, or (god forbid we start that again) Helmets :D have you any news on the girl hurt in the accident? I am assuming that the police were contacted but am also assuming that they have not found the culprits.

Last night my wife called me to say that a girl she works with narrowly missed the same fate on the corner of th. Kotschasan on the outside of the moat. She was bumped by two guys on a motorbike who took off. She was lucky not to drop the motorcycle and be badly hurt. She went to the police who told her that unless she was hurt or robbed they wouldn't do anything about it :D

Please keep us informed of her progress and as a suggestion - leave cross bow at home and out of the car :o

Just two day ago - there is a Hit and run case when a toyota doremon knock down a rider and drove off . leaving him on the cross junction of the Tanin market .

i was near that place when i heard something like a crash . was with my mom ,

after seeing a little crowd gathering from about 400 meter away .

i went in to see if i can help .

the guy is was laying there , i try to feel his neck to check if he is still alive . another guy ty to move him , but i try to explain that he might injury his neck .. so is best not to move him till we can get a neck support for him .

anyway you know the thai pickup ambulance , within a while is there , this time is a 3 man team who at least know what there are doing .

we try to secure his neck and then slowly shove a plastic panel under him .

and then bind him carfully on the board and load him on the car .

-

then thing in thailand is alot just look and dare not help .

but then again . little people do know what to do when thing happen also .

anyway the police question me . and let me go cos i tell them my mother waiting alone .

surpisingly seem like nobody notice the car number plate .

Isn't doremon that blue cartoon character from Japan? I have visions of a blue robot cat running over someone in the street.

surpisingly seem like nobody notice the car number plate .

two things:

1) Correct - any car accident has to be treated as a high speed impact injury with probable neck trauma. Keep the casualty in the same postion as found and if possible use something to prevent the head/neck from moving until trained officers arrive with the appropriate tools. I once saw two cops pick up a thai man who had been knocked off his motorbike. One took the legs and the other the arms and they carried him sagging in the middle without any head support onto the footpath. Then they just lay him on the concrete while they waited for the ambulance to arrive - made my blood run cold just thinking about the secondary injuries they may have caused in the process. Their priority was getting him off the road so that the traffic didn't bank up.

2) Correct - people very rarely take note of the number plate, make or model of vehicle, even get the colour wrong - sometimes they even confuse cars with cartoon characters :o

Pleased that your friend is back at home and recovering. Not surprised the police don't know anything.
