The odd thing was that soft toilet paper was cheaper and frowned upon as a sign of lower class habits. Not to be confused with back-to-backs with their toilets at the bottom of the back yard. Which reminds me of a joke ...

It's you that have insulted the so called 17.4 million - in having the gall to think you can speak on all their behalfs and that they 'think as one'. Besides which 3 and a half years later many may have died or changed their mind, which the coming referendum will put to the test once and for all. 

 

BTW what's happened to the old canard - ( in angry voice) there were two choices on the ballot paper Remain or Leave it said nothing about a deal.  Maybe we can have a memorial - on some closed down car plant in the Midlands maybe for all the fallen Brexiteers who have gone to great gig in the sky - lit by an eternal flame to be called The Death of Democracy. And every year unrepentant no- dealers can gather on June 15th to celebrate that wonderful day.

Of course there will be. There will also be opportunities that arise and the populous in the UK and the EU has had over 3 years to adapt to that.

 

I have said before, a German selling to the UK and a Brit selling to Spain can still do after Brexit. How easy, or difficult, that will be will depend on the stance of Tusk/Barnier et al.

While I agree with your point, Bill, the highlighted extract is exactly the same as managing to insult up to 16 million people.  Although neither a Remainer or Leaver (in principle) I'm one of those that finds it as insulting. No offence, mate, just pointing that more thought is needed before posting a reply.

AFAIR I haven't insulted any Remainers unless it was in a reply to their post.

Not disputing it's a valid point but if it was a choice of being in government or not, there is a good chance that memories would fade, and more so if they have a significant number of seats to barter.

I don't think so.I agree it's difficult predict without knowing the numbers after the (presumably) forthcoming election.But I can see no circumstances regardless of numbers in the H of C under which the Lib Dems would join with the Tories.Remember the Tories have now largely rooted out their One Nation Remainer numbers, so would be even more unacceptable to the Lib Dems.

 

In the likely event of another hung parliament I can certainly see the Lib Dems, the SNP and Labour (post Corbyn) working together and possibly forming a coalition government.
