CCTV caught clear images of two men who robbed the owner of a Minimart in the Kamlone sub-district of Nakhon Sri Thammarat in southern Thailand on Sunday.

Wiphawan, 33, said that two men in helmets arrived at the store. The pillion passenger got off and bought cigarettes and gum.

While she was giving change he tried to grab her one baht weight gold necklace and amulet (an image of Phraphuttha Chinrat).

She tried to get away but the assailant would not give up and he succeeded in grabbing the necklace (worth about 21,000 baht) and amulet.

The pair then sped off on a red Honda Wave motorcycle.

Lan Saka police believe that the robbers had been casing the joint before striking.

They are believed to be aged about 35-40.

That narrows it down.

More desperate people out there,it would not have been

to buy their kids shoes or food, it will be drugs, alcohol,

or gambling,or maybe all 3. anyone wearing a gold necklace

is just asking for trouble,in the past never used to be like this,

or maybe it was,I had no internet then, only local information.

stupid post 3, everyone one including thai has a right to wear gold, why was she showing it off,

A group photo, some finger pointing, a humble waï of appology and the criminal, if arrested, will be back to business.

Perhaps she learn not to show off with her necklace anymore...

What makes you think she was “...showing off with her necklace...”????

Maybe she was just wearing it because she likes it.

Because that is the only reason in Thailand to wear those ugly gold necklaces.

It's worth less than an iPhone.
