Another victim who thought she could turn hundreds of baht into a million!

A Thai woman who believed an old school friend who told her she could turn a few hundred baht into a million went to complain to the computer crimes police yesterday.

Rather than making her rich "B" had lost 200,000 baht.

Between March and July she had believed "Pom" about the "Ngern Bun" fund and continually added to it in the hope of increasing her capital.

This despite the fact that Pom and other friends had already got burned to the tune of a million baht in their investments, reported Daily News.

I imagine that if the 200,000 baht means 400 less trips to fast food restaurants and she loses 20 KG's she's had a good result

So "a few hundred baht' to make a million was not enough, her greed forced her to 'invest' 200K to make a billion.  Moron!

People who invest in the / a legitimate stock market often loose money - ( lucky me, I made about 25% profit on my small investment into the US stock market AND IT TOOK about 10 years ).

Investment in anything is not a place for a person that: 1) does not have a education, 2) does not have the ability to research or take the time to research the company and the offer.

Many people believe, when a friend tells them, that for a investment of a few hundred or a few thousand,  they will make millions!

I really don't know if it is greed,  desperation or the "thrill of little for much and I don't have to do anything to make millions" that encourages this type of "investment".

Unless the " investment " is a provable scam, the police should not get involved.

One has to be both greedy and stupid to fall for scams such as this.

Not to take the bad from the real crime, but it should be criminal to be that stupid.

Be made to stand in the corner and watered daily.

Some people just beg to be burned.

How much? I'm in ????

Very sad, but just look around, there are thousands of people investing in Condos, trying to make millions,  even though they can see all the empties around. How about a bar, anyone?

I don't see thousands doing that.

I see the word, investment. So it must go up and down. How can you report to police?

Too late.  I bought all of it and sold it to the lady who lives next to me.  She wants to sell it to the Thai  government for a new airport where Thai Airways can take Thais to Florida who want to get away for a holiday from all of the Chinese tourists invading Thailand.  Better luck next time, if the opportunity arises.

'nuf sed.
