Alternatives to Merislon - Inner Ear Issues :(

Recommended Posts

HI,

I have inner ear issues that cause dizziness, nausea, stiffness in neck and headache.

Merislon works great, but I find myself having to take it all the time now, as it reoccurs the moment I stop.

Can anyone recommend an alternative preferably in 16mg form as I an currently taking 2 X 6mg three times a day.

I am also open to alternative medicines if anyone has had any success.

Many thanks in advance for any advice.

Has the nature of the problem been diagnosed?

Di you also have any hearing loss? Tinnitus?

(Trying to see if this is true Meniere's or other problem)

And where in Thailand are you

No hearing loss, no ringing in the ears.

Been to an ENT doctor and he put me on Merislon.

I do the head tilting stuff and take the tablets. It used to go away after about 10 days of usage, but now comes back a few days after I stop.

I feel it coming on when I get small headaches, neck stiffness and sore jaw line. I then take the Merislon and it begins to go away after a few days usage. The thing is that it makes me very tired and I don't like that all the time.

Thanks for any suggestions. ????

You need a much more detailed work up from a specialist in neuro-otolaryngology

Recommend https://www.bumrungrad.com/doctors/Saowaros-Patarapak

What you report is both extreme and not consistent with Menietes Disease which is what Mersilon is mainly used for.

Need to get to the bottom of what is causing this. An MRI may be indicated depending on results if initial neuro exam.
