KANCHANABURI (NNT) - Let’s take a look at the latest on the preparations for an upcoming mobile Cabinet meeting, which will be taking place on 11th and 12th November in Kanchanaburi. A Ministry of Interior deputy permanent secretary yesterday visited the province to gather proposals from lower central region provinces group 1 to create the group’s development plan to answer villagers’ needs.

The Ministry of Interior’s Deputy Permanent Secretary Pornpoth Penpas has presided over a preparation meeting to gather proposals, from provincial governors, private firms and local executives, on the development of lower central region provinces group 1, which includes Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi and Suphanburi. The proposals will be proposed and discussed at the mobile Cabinet meeting.

At this meeting, each province was allowed to present their development needs, in keeping with the provincial group development directions and villagers’ needs, complying with the government’s development policies.

On infrastructure development, Kanchanaburi province has proposed construction of a road connecting to the Western Economic Corridor, while Suphanburi province proposed the development of regional connectivity roads and Ratchaburi proposed the relocation of utility cables underground in the old town areas of Ratchaburi, Kanchanaburi and Suphanburi, along with the expansion of water pipes to serve villagers better.

On investment, the provinces have proposed to push for the Three Pagodas area to be a special economic zone for tourism and SMEs, promoting the construction of a convention and exhibition center in the region and expediting the processing of the Ban Pu Nam Ron special economic zone in Kanchanaburi.

On agriculture, the provinces will be proposing a development project for Mae Klong River water source development and quality of life enhancement through healthcare services development at Ratchaburi hospital.

Interior ministry making plans for mobile cabinet meeting in november , have called on local furniture makers to make an extra strong, extra wide reclining chair for Ole Fatty to have a nap on, and  instructed locals to ensure toilets and clean, and freely available at short notice.

So mobile cabinet meetings are back on the agenda. The last time I can recall they had mobile meetings was when Prayut Chan-o-cha went on his vote buying multi billion baht cash hand out splurge using Thai Niyom funding.

I wonder what tricks they are up to this time?

If they were on the ball, the furniture makers would have suggested an HGV commode chair - kill two turds birds with one stone.
