Where to buy cafe tables?

Featured Replies

Hi all

I'm looking for cafe tables like in the photos. I have checked out Index, Homepro, Koncept, Baan and Beyond, Boonthavorn and that Thaikea place out on superhighway at Nong pa kran. Only managed to find a couple tables like this and none that were suitable. I had a good hunt on the internet too.

I checked out baan tawai already also. I will have to get some made if I can't find any, but would rather buy ready made. Any ideas on where I might find some? Hopefully within 100km of Chiang Mai. Cheers.

Have you checked out Ikea in Bangkok?  They have a line of dining furniture called Norraker that is intended for "public use".  They can deliver to Chiang Mai and assemble for a very reasonable charge.  Some of our Ikea furniture has the same natural birch wood used in the Norraker series and it's very beautiful.  I doubt they'd be phased to receive an order for a couple dozen tables or 50 - 60 chairs at once.

Thanks Airalee. I'm in Vietnam at the moment and the link isn't working for me (even with a vpn). I will check the site out on Monday when I get back.

Thanks Nancy. Yes I did look at Ikea. I did notice those tables in particular too - very smart, though not quite what I'm after.

Those guys can order a lot of stuff and get it quickly if they do not have exactly what you want in stock.  Very helpful.

Not a lot of help to our OP as we are in Northern BKK, but we have a number of places selling cafe type stuff within a short drive, mostly I think it started life as pallets but it looks reasonably well finished.
