Hi All

After successfully getting the settlement visa my wife is due to come to Uk soon.

What will she need to show immigration? I know she needs the passport with visa stamp and the TB certificate. We have been told she also needs to show a marriage v=cert translated AND stamped by the consulate (not sure which one) to say it is kosher.

Also she will be comoing on a one way ticket. Is that ok?

As always I value your help.

Thanks

You seem to have it covered. But in addition, my Mrs had a piece of paper with her that had my name and contact numbers and the full address of where she would be living.

I also gave her an english sim card so that i could keep in touch when she had landed and know what was going on in the arrivals lounge. Not neccessary i know but it helped me know what was happening.

Good luck :o

So do we need the translated and stamped marriage cert or will the original with a translation from a translation service do?

Thanks again

It is really belt and braces Si, the wife didn't show anything but the passport and visa, obviously the TB cert now as well.

Good Luck

Essentially, your wife has already demonstrated the legitimacy of your relationship in order to get the visa, so no further documentation will be required as a matter of course by the immigration officer at the airport. The validity of the visa can only be overturned in limited circumstances and, even then, only after reference has been made to the original visa papers.

Scouse.
