November 21, 20196 yr Seeking recommendations for a reputable and reasonably priced Thai to English translation service. Need a certified translation document of a Thai Birth Certificate for U.S. Green Card purposes. I've checked into a few via internet search and the prices are all over the place! Ranging from 300 to 1,500 when requesting a quote for the same service from each. And of course there is no accountability from these places if I have no references. Online service is fine as long as it's a reputable operation. Thanks.
November 21, 20196 yr Don't know if they are still operating, but a place called 'Star Translation Service' just up the street a bit from the US Consulate and almost opposite the Muang Mai market are/were very good. Used their service several times and it was accepted by both the Oz and (the old one) UK embassies. About 250 baht a page. They were there for years, but I left six years ago. Good luck!
November 21, 20196 yr CMU LI an easy walk from the CMU Royal Project Shop does certified translations, suitable for government agencies. Reasonable, efficient, professional. Lady on the left, as you walk in the door. Heard the Star place was fine, too, and is close to the consulate..

A 2nd for Star Visa near the US Consulate.....
November 21, 20196 yr Used Star a number of times. They still in the same location. They will also walk your translated document through the appropriate Thai government offices to get it certified if necessary.

I know at cmuli, they had the actual stamp..had to do a passport translation for yellowbook...was one of the easier parts of the process.
November 21, 20196 yr Thai First Translation. They repeatedly score in the top 5 whose translations are reviewed by the government each year.
