My husband picked up a new Thai language magazine (appears to be a monthly) that just came out the 25th. He hasn't seen it before so perhaps this is the first issue. Samui Phangan Today is the name.

Anyway, some interesting articles in it, some about the garbage problem, a photo of the Phangan Hospital speedboat sitting on shore (with a comment about what happens if someone gets sick and needs it). Khunying someone or other cutting a ribbon and a delegation from Samui and Phangan going to Berlin for the ITB Berlin conference. A bit political, it appears, but also local news.

Printed in Surat but the family name of the publisher proves it to be most likely a Koh Phangan native.

Suggest someone who wanted to get the word out about registering non-local Thais might want to pick up a copy and contact them. No idea if they speak English or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone did. 077-377-736 is the number on the inside page.
