Please advice some cheap but good Hospitals and Doctors in Bangkok

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone please suggest me the best doctors in the following field with some less costly hospitals in Bangkok (I do not have any insurance and will pay from my own pocket):

1. Kidney (Nephrology) specialist for Diabetic Patient

2. Thyroid specialist

3. Urology specialist

3. Gastroenterologist (for Gallbladder problem)

4. ENT Specalist (for my sister)

6. polycystic ovary and thyroid related specialist (for my sister)

Is it better if I do at first a full-body check up at BRIA Lab at Lat Phrao Rd in Bangkok instead of expensive full-body check up from a Hospital and save money?

Note that Bria lab costs only 9,400 Baht for  full-body check up including EST test. whereas Bangkok Cristian,St. Lious,  vejtahani, Simitivej all costs between 20K to 30K! Bumrungrad around 50K!!

Anyone has any experience with BRIA Lab before? is it good for full-body check up?

Note that I am from Bangladesh and my father (65 Years old) has been suffering long time for Kidney (Nephrology), Urology (difficulties and pain while Passing Urine) , gallbladder and Thyroid related problem. As I have tried several specialist and good hospitals in Bangladesh like expensive International chain Apollo and Squire in DHAKA  but the doctors in Apollo Dhaka are more concentrated about profit making for the hospital rather than good treatment for the patients.

I just want to stick with some good doctors in Bangkok for all types of treatment from now and would like to have a continuous treatment for my father in Bangkok that's why I need the good doctors with a lower price point!

I will be really thankful for any suggestion for a cheap but good quality hospital and best doctors info in Bangkok.

Thanks in advance for all the answers and wish everyone a nice day!

I suggest you go to Chulalongkorn Hospital which is a government teaching hospital and much less expensive than the private hospitals. You can get a complete check up there and see doctors of all specialties. Best to go through their after hours clinic for that as the public channel is very crowded.

However you need a Thai speaker to go with you at least the first time. Even if you have to hire a translator it will still cost less than private hospital.

The only issue will be if you are pressed for time as waits can be rather long.

If time is too short then either Banglok Christian Hospital on Silom or St Louis on Sathorn or the doctors.

I was thinking about buying some health insurance for the first time from Pacific Cross. I am 65 so now they will ask for a medical physical exam.  Is there some place in Pattaya where I could get this required exam done cheaply.  As far as I know, I am in perfect health with no known issues. Thanks

I agree Chula is good and cheap.

And the Police Hospital near Erawan Shrine.

But for all of them I don't know if you can just walk in as a farang.

I only was a couple of time in Chula because of my eyes. They have a top specialist there.

She and other doctors speak English. But it seems almost all the admin staff don't speak English.

And waiting for hours is normal.

Thank you for your suggestion Sheryl

Sheryl, do you suggest full-body check up at BRIA Lab at Lat Phrao Rd in Bangkok ? Is it a good idea instead of doing it from Bangkok Christian Hospital on Silom or St Louis on Sathorn ?

and second question is,  among these two hospitals 1) Bangkok Christian Hospital on Silom AND 2) St Louis on Sathor, which one is better for overall treatment like Kidney (Nephrology) for diabetic patients, Thyroid specialist,  ENT and  can speak ENGLISH?

because of time problem I can not choose Chulalongkorn Hospital rather than I have to choose  a private cost effective Hospital

Thanks in advance Sheryl!

You can do at RSU Health or Bria but Bria is very hard to find and far from center of town, not near public tranaport so RSU (Sukhumvit soi 33 BTS Prom Prong station) is better.

https://rsuhealth.com/annual-health-check-up-program/

The doctots at both St Louis ans Bangkok Christian speak English. Neither has a website in English though so I can't check Dr. Qualifications for you. Give me a few days and I'll see if I can figure out some doctor names for you.
