Chiang Mai Hospital that does cortisone injection for back pain

Featured Replies

Hello,

Can anyone tell me what the best hospital to go to in Chiang mai is for back pain. I want to get a cortisone injection for ongoing pain I've had for 6 months now. It's caused by a muscle injury. Have been doing physio for months but it's just not quite working. Have had cortisone injection on my knee in the past with excellent results. If anyone has any information or knows approximately cost of injection please let me know. Thank you.

I don't know if this helps, but I had lower back pain for as far back as I can remember, and until I stumbled across a link on YouTube which showed me how some simple exercises would eliminate my lower back pain, naturally I was skeptical and I was in constant pain.

I did those exercises, e.g. planks for a minute at a time x 2 per day for a week and you wouldn't believe it, no more back pain, the muscles need to be strengthened once again.

Your pain of course might be different to mine, but worth looking into planks on YouTube as opposed to being injected with cortisone ?

I can confirm that the Orthopedic Department at Chiang Mai Ram have physicians who will inject steroids into your back.  I went there one time with severe back pain (SI) and was offered injections directly into my hip by one of the staff orthopedists. I refused it, but it is definitely available.

Thats exactly what I did. I suffered regular disabling back spasms that led onto sciatica pain.

I decided to follow a 20minute you tube simple stretches video.

I watched and played along for just 2 days consecutive days.

That was 18 month ago, never had to raid the cupbd for painkillers or deep heat cream since.

Muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerve can apparently pop back in as easily as they popped out.
