Hello, is there a risk of having an Elite visa and not living in Thailand ?
I think there should be no issues but I would have a confirmation, is there a risk of me loosing the visa if I don't enter in Thailand for more than a year ?

Thank you

They're 5 year visas, you can use it as much or as little as you want so there is no risk of losing it.

Just enter before the visa expires and you get 1 year every time, it's a simple as that.

Correct. A PE visa from Thailand Elite 5 is a multi-entry tourist visa, nothing more.

It is not a legal residence, such as  issued for foreigners by the US, EU, etc., that actually have

residence requirements.

You apply for a Thai elite visa and membership.

Info is here. https://www.thailandelite.com/?locate=en

It's not a card. It's a visa. Gets put into your passport

That's right. You do get a card as well which they will ask to see when you're using the visa. I've been asked for the card at immigration when doing extensions, that kind of thing.

This is how it works if you're going to have the visa inserted at the airport on arrival.

First you apply for membership, once approved you will be notified and the full payment is requested.

After payment you will receive a welcome email and at this point you can book a flight and email them back letting them know your flight arrival details / when to meet you at the airport for visa attachment.

They will confirm the flight number and date/time of your arrival and your visa insertion appointment by email.

When you arrive someone will be waiting at the gate with a sign stating your name, if you're very near to the fast track immigration office then there will be no electric cart, if you're further away from the fast track offices then there will be a cart waiting to drive you to immigration.

They drop you off at the seating area right next to the fast track areas office, you will see plenty of airline crews go through this section while you wait, they seem to have to sign some kind of book before they proceed through immigration.

There's an office there and they take your passport inside to insert your visa while you wait. They bring you a fruit juice drink.

They ( a senior looking immigration officer from the office - and a Thailand Elite staff member) then escort you to the immigration desk and instruct the officer on what to do - after I did this they took my passport with the new 1 year stamp back to the office 'for copies' - after this you're directed past immigration and into the baggage hall

At this point you're all set to come and go as much as you want for the next 5 years.

Thanks Ukrules....what you outlined is exactly what happened to Belgium mate of mine. I'm on non O extensions (retirement). If had my time over would seriously consider EV as good option.

In fact I would have grabbed one esp with the amount of flights I do.
