For the amount of condos in Pattaya, very few will rent for less than a month and many want at least three months, it just isn't worth the hassle for a few baht

??

Sorry, false comment.

There are 100's ST everyday at just The Base alone.  1000's throughout the city advertised on over a dozen major websites.

The hotel industry are the ones suffering.  If they were organized they could put an end to it.  But, ST rentals are a flourishing business no end in site.

There shouldn't be any companies advertising for less than a 30 day stay in a condo as it's illegal.

  • Being chucked out by her isn't as bad a being chucked out of the condo you have rented for 10 days!

There is no prostitution for farangs in Pattaya. We pay for their time, and they have sex with us if they want to:-) In western countries they'd be called "escorts".

Let's see if I can make this clear.    1.   I like both Agoda and Airbnb.     2.    I have used both for many years.     3.    If I were aware that both Agoda and Airbnb were advertising the very same property, I would chose the company that offered the lowest price.    4.    If the price were the same, I wouldn't care which company I gave the business to.

Great.  So now you know that traditional hotel booking websites are advertising condo's here for short term bookings.  However, it is illegal.  ????

Yup, that's definitely a surprise to me.

Yes, the amount of short term rentals in my condo complex has flourished here in the last 2 weeks.  Large signs outside at security gate and by the front door stating daily and weekly rentals are ILLEGAL.  Doesn't matter, no enforcement, still advertised on Booking, Agoda, and AirBnB. Those signs have been up since last June or July.  Agree the hotel associations/industry really needs to combat this as so many hotel rooms look empty.  I judge this by observing large hotels whose rooms are 80-90% dark at night while I am out walking.

So my first choice would be an online company that would allow me to do searches but I would also appreciate recommendations for specific condos or apartments (closer to the Walking Street end vs Naklua)

Booking.com and Tripadvisor have searches for "serviced apartments"  from google:
