Thats if you can get past the myriad of popups, running processes slowing the TV page loading,

Trusty stopwatch says ~30sec load time vs ~5sec load time with accessory.

600% increase in wait time without accessory.

People do not want the pop up to appear at all.

Anybody who is intetested in recieving the newsletter will subscribe.

Those who prefer to not recieve the newsletter will not be inclined to sign up due to seeing the pop up. In fact they are likely to view the pop up as an inconvenience and refrain from using the site and search out other forums

I interact on TVF mostly on my desktop. My peeve is with what I call a slide-in that started a month or so ago. Every time I change to a new page, this "pop up-like-thing" slides-in in the lower right corner, often blocking my reading content. It occupies 20% of my screen height and about 30% of the width. To extinguish it, I have to find a little, light grey "X" which is often so difficult and time consuming to find that I've had to attach a sticky note on the frame of my computer screen showing me where it is so that I can more quickly delete the slide-in/pop up. I do this about 100 times each day, yes, one hundred times.

Whoever (I don't know) is responsible for putting it there thinks I am stupid!  I say that because the advertisement that it high-lights is one of the same advertisements that is always on the right hand side of my screen anyway, consuming 25% of the real estate space and slowing all activity down.

If I read TVF on my iPhone, I'm forced to delete a drop-down and slide-up for every new thread. What they are advertising, I have no idea. I would never patronize the concept by reading these annoying ads.

As a businessman, I fully support and understand revenue streams. But this is OTT (and bottom).

Hello All

Apologies, we messed up with this.

The good news is, the pop up has now been removed.

If you are still unable to access the site properly, please try clearing the cache from your web browser.

If you are unsure how to do that, you can find more info here:

Thank you for patience and apologies again.
