Video: Blind beggar busted getting into his Fortuner outside Thai temple

A video posted to Facebook showed a man dressed in old clothes get out of a Toyota Fortuner with Bangkok plates. Such a car new is worth around 1.5 million baht. 

 

It is parked outside a temple near a housing estate in Bang Yai, Nonthaburi.

 

He then makes sure he looks sufficiently bad in a mirror, gets a bag and a white stick and goes begging nearby. 

 

He is singing for his supper!

 

The "poor" beggar was outed by "Chaluta Joy" on Facebook who said she was putting an end to his little game. 

 

Most netizens condemned him for preying on an unsuspecting public but some said he wasn't killing anyone, the money was small and leave him alone, reported Manager. 

 

But some thought he might be an undercover cop about to solve crime. 

 

Here at Thaivisa we might give credence to the story about him being blind given the way some people behind the wheel drive.

????  .... amazing thailand ... this guy is so lucky, maybe his amulets did it, or the temple Buddha ... he off to the pub in his fortuner to celebrate his luck ...

Was a lady in a wheelchair selling lottery outside a nearby Tops to us two days ago, who miraculously got up and walked at the end of the day. Feeding on peoples sympathy whilst sat in a comfy chair all day

Scammers, imposters, charlatans and opportunists are in abundance worldwide, wearing a variety of uniforms, vestments, costumes and often just ordinary dress. Thailand is no different and those previously mentioned, ply their trade assisted by superstition, gullibility, ignorance and greed by both the giver and receiver.

Thai news also reports that he has a daughter studying overseas and that his business isn’t doing so well so he needs the money...

but anyway... so good that it was a local Thai that outed him,
