Successful retirement extension at Jomtien using income method

Yesterday I went for my retirment extension at Jomtiem using the income method for the first time. Previously I had been using the British Embassy letter but we all know how that played out.

Anyway arrived at 12.55pm and was out by 1.15pm. Could not believe i!!

I realise it is the luck of the draw how many are in front of you in the queue. Altbough the place was packed,as usual, there was only three in front of me at the retirement desk 8. Yippee.

I must have sat with the guy about 7 minutes and that was it. A breeze if you have the required documents. The guy was quick, efficiet and pleasant!!

This is what I gave him :

TM7 with upto date photo

Copy of the frst page of my wife's blue book

Copy of my wife's ID card signed by her

Copy of my Thai driving license including the reverse wth my address on

My latest DTAC bill again showing my address.

Copy of passport ID page

Copy of EVERY page that had stamps on. Not sure if this is a requirment but he did keep them all.

Copy of  TM6

Copies of the evidence showing I am receiving two pensions from the UK

A bank letter showing 12 International tranfers on a single sheet. There was actually 13 as the statement period was January 19 to January 20 I had all the statements in my bag but they were not asked for.

A bank letter confirming the account is in my name only and the current balance.

I did go to the bank on the morning withdrew 500bt and then updated the book before going inside for the two letters

The only tbing the guy added was a copy of the last page of my bank book, which he got himself and this obviouly matched the bank letter balance.

I know some people have had problems at Jomtiem but all I can say is, yesterday I was treated quickly, efficienty and professionaly, all in 20 minutes!!

I don't understand. Are you saying that you didn't have a balance of over 800,000 baht? I thought that was mandatory now. ???

I suppose the o.p. could prove a minimum of 65000 monthly income coming from abroad, on a Thai bankbook.

For non American, Australians, British it is even more easy.

Did you read the OP heading?  "using income method"

Yes I did, I added the amount of 65000, hoping it would be more clear for patsfangr.

Income of 65,000  baht p.m. from overseas for the full 12 months is an alternative to 800k in the bank.... or even a combination totaling 800,000 p.a.
