PHUKET: The Phuket office of the Election Commission of Thailand (PEC) confirmed yesterday (Jan 30) they have been instructed to start preparations for local elections, even though a definite date has still yet to be determined.

Thailand set to suspend visa on arrival for Chinese tourists

Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul will today propose to the government to consider suspending granting of visa on arrival for Chinese tourists to tighten control to fend off possible spread of coronavirus.

Plunge in arrivals from China may lead to Bt100 bn loss for tourism
