They didn't go to the courts because they didn't follow the court's blueprint on impeachment. 

 

It was really very simple to do, but Nancy didn't do it. Full House vote to begin the investigation.  Judiciary Committee investigates, and their subpoenas will have enforceable power.  Instead, Nancy made a unilateral announcement, and she gave it to Schiff in the Intelligence Committee.  Their subpoenas were nothing more than request letters to appear.  They would have lost in the courts.

Democrats always want the popular/majority vote to be superior to everything -- even the Constitution -- unless they lose the popular/majority vote.  Then the popular/majority vote is no good. 

 

After losing the popular vote once in the House, Trump will win this popular vote in the Senate -- twice -- and we are already witnessing the expected hypocrisy.
