Yeah that was 2 weeks ago lol. So it`s close to impossible, even if there was a government which take that serious. So forget it. It just shows me, that there is a real risk (at least in BKK). The government may think that the people are stupid, but it`s an easy statistical approach. Thousand of tourists from Wuhan have landed in January, before the city was quarantined. Just 1-2 infected amongst those is enough the spread that stuff.

It’s not possible to interview her and find out exactly where she stayed or even places she visited?  Mr lol?? Extremely easy.

In looking at some Korea news sources just now, I see that the South Korean government also as of today/Tuesday has enacted an entry ban on anyone who's been to Wuhan or Hubei province in the prior 14 days.

...and soon, Thailand...hopefully.

Shirely a quick check of her passport would clarify this. Why leave in the ambiguity?

It was the Koreans who left it in ambiguity:

"The statement did not explicitly rule out a visit to China by the patient, and KCDC Director Jeong Eun-kyeong declined to comment further."

Expect every country that put quarantine measures in effect to China to now add Thailand to the list of countries disallowed for travel. Looks as if the Thai government just signed their own death warrants with respect to tourism. It is now going to be Chinese and Thai entry bans.

Again?

It's good job they're Buddhists and get reincarnated every time.

That damned Golden Goose refuses to die also no matter how often they try and kill it.

Oh and there's no more room for nails in the coffin either.

He's from Ethiopia, where he was a long time politician and public official who helped coverup epidemics in his own country. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/13/health/candidate-who-director-general-ethiopia-cholera-outbreaks.html

I wonder if the next WHO director general is going to be from some better country... like Uganda or North Korea???  :ninja:

So the next step is to find and interview all the people she came within the 2metre range of posible infection and the find and interview who all those people came in contact with?Yeah your idea of "extremely easy" is a lot different to mine.

No. Just find out where she stayed and why not where she visited. Would you like to volunteer to be the next one to stay in her hotel room? Your next step theory is stupid so knock it off.

Yes but why?Is it politics or something else?Just seems very strange to leave it hanging like that unnecessarily.Possibly a translation error?

Thailand seems to have a static number of 19 Coronavirus people..... By the spread of it elsewhere, this would seem to be unrealistic. How can it be possibly true that a visitor from South Korea gets the virus but no Thai gets it? Far from restricting Chinese inbound tourism from China, Thailand has welcomed tourists from China and Coronavirus has only been partially resticted in Thailand by the actions of the Chinese government.  Thailand is in danger of really killing off their tourist industry by it laissez faire attitude towards the virus. It really is time for some decisive leadership. Action and transparency can still save the day.

The BKK Post just posted their version of this news, quoting a Thai health official, and saying the woman had NO history of China travel... But no source attribution for that particular detail was given.

The Post article also says the Thai health authorities are trying to get info from the Koreans on where exactly the woman was here, etc etc.

I think people should be made aware of her movements

authorities in Thailand should be retracing exactly what she did when and where

Same for other 19 confirmed cases.
