After 15 years in Thailand, I am not happy to leave, but due to family circumstances I have to move back to Canada.  I'll be taking my Thai wife, and together we will only take items of sentimental value, clothes, two bicycles, and some personal items.

We need to ship about 2 cubic meters worth of goods.  To put this in perspective, 2 cubic meters is about the size of two Thai wardrobe closets which you all have in your bedroom.  The lowest quote for sea freight I could find was 100,00THB.  Many freight forwarders were not interested because they prefer to deal in larger quantities such as full container loads.  The price seems extremely high, especially for sea freight.  Have any one of you made the move back home, and if so, how did you arrange to have your good shipped from Thailand?
