webfact Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 Pattaya: "Please don't shoot my mum!" - killer ignores daughter's plea then shoots self Picture: 77kaoded Huay Yai police and Sawang Boriboon rescue services called to a house in Khao Mai Kaew sub-district of Banglamung found a 38 year old woman dead in a bedroom. Chayanan from Sa Kaeo province had been shot in the head. Lying near her was 67 year old Sophon who had been shot in the right side of the head. A 9 mm gun was also found. Sophon - a contractor who arranges for earth leveling ahead of building construction - was still alive and was given CPR but was pronounced dead in hospital, reported 77kaoded. A large number of neighbors were milling about outside. A neighbor called Amornrat, 29, told the media that she had heard no argument. She heard a single gunshot then the scream of a woman. Then another shot. Then the female victim's 13 year old daughter ran out of the house screaming for help. The media reported that the 13 year old had been at the scene and saw everything. She went down on her knees to plead for the life of her mother but her calls for mercy were ignored by the shooter who shot her mother in front of her then turned the gun on himself. A gruesome picture on the 77kaoded news site contained a caption to this effect. Huay Yai police are studying CCTV and investigating what might have led up to this apparent murder/suicide.
