Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha came under fire for his handling of a press conference on Sunday after the mass shooting in Nakhon Ratchasima.

Netizens have criticised Prayut for “failing to show enough deep sympathy for the victims”. Some said he acted more like a politician running a political campaign than one feeling sympathy and sharing sadness with the families of those who passed away or were injured.

The premier later said he, like the public, felt sad for the great loss of lives. He said that he has a strong intention to boost public morale, however he sometimes acts in ways that might make people misunderstand his intentions or feel uncomfortable with him.

Prayut has already asked all ministries to present to a cabinet meeting tomorrow (February 11) measures to help victims of the shooting spree.

The premier will hold a conference this evening on plans to help the victims.

He is not even a good leader. He should have the event to praise Heroic efforts of bystanders who where checking on the wounded while shots where still being fired. He then should have used the candlelight vigil the next night to read the names off of those who had been killed and some details honoring the victims Life.

He should follow that up with a speech to the nation about reforms within the Army that punishes commanders who are conducting business with subordinate military members; Then I would have the Head of the Army explained how the shooter got access to war weapons;  Then he should talk about operational changes about how weapons and ammo stored on Military Installations. Then he should talk about compensation and support for the Victims.

Then I would Direct Military procurement to buy some night vision googles; and get some training in counterterrorism tactics. Maybe even establish a counterterrorism unit that we all thought they had.
