Snake catchers were called after a 5 meter long king cobra took up residence under an outdoor aquarium in front of a house in Nakhon Sri Thammarat in southern Thailand.

Buntham, 40, came home and shrieked at the top of her voice on seeing the 12 kilogram monster serpent who was acting in a very fierce manner.

But the skills of Siam Ruam Jai and Tai Teck Tung foundation workers soon had matters in hand.

Plenty of locals witnessed the events and were busy taking pictures of the house number (4 in Moo 2) and the rescue pick-up licence plate (4944) for lottery purposes.

A cobra at 5 metres with some attitude is not to be trifled with!

Whatever they're paying that guy holding the cobra...

It isn't enough.

Unless you had a shotgun. That sorts them out pretty smartly.

Magnificent specimen, ... betting some zoo would pay bigly.
