CartagenaWarlock Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 I now rent a 2-bedroom condo in Q condo Sukumvit. The rent is almost $3K USD. The price of the condo is 30 Million BHT. Can I get a nice condo for 10 Million BHT? If so, please post some suggestions. I need a two bed room, preferably 2 bathroom condo close to BTS not too much inside sois.
observer90210 Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 You will not be able to say if it's a good deal or not, until you move in !!!!!......what if the walls may leak ? aircon defective ? over charging in the monthly maintenance that untimately would not be done ?....noisy neighbours or a co owner neighbour who will transform his property to a party house on rent, that will make life hell ?.... use the golden rule in Thailand that goes for ladies as well....never buy....rent first.....you will not be stuck with something unpleasent you did not expect before purchase.... Good luck nevertheless. 1 1
ChaiyaTH Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 Is all relative, being close to the BTS as well. I mean you could be at the end of the line causing you to travel 15 mins longer each day OR you could live 5 mins from BTS Chong Nonsi by motosai or BRT bus and get a condo like that for 5-6M baht. A 2 bedroom next to Ekkamai BTS by a short walk could cost 20-30M baht too. Guess I would check some older buildings that are still well maintained. Anyway, with that budget you will have agents running for you and giving free BJ's if signing. They easily make a few hundred K on selling a unit that expensive.
Aussieroaming Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 Try Saphan Kwai, very good infrastructure and convenient location. We have a reasonably new 3 bed condo (was new when we bought it) marketing rate 16m, 2 beds market rate around 12-13 mil, but market has softened. We (wife) negotiated our condo down, as the project was closing out. Still a rediculous price for an 85 sq/m apartment, but apparently thats Bangkok pricing.
