Hi,

We're applying for an unmarried partner visa to the UK and we aren't sure about 28 days rule for financial statements.

According to the guideline -

Paragraph 1(I) of Appendix FM-SE states that financial evidence which is required to end with the date of application must cover a period which ends no more than 28 days prior to the application date.

We understand that this applies for the bank statements using to meet the financial requirement (our case - statements from a bank in the UK). However, we have a Thai bank account showing that the sponsor has been financially supported the applicant when living together in Thailand. By providing the Thai bank statement is only to prove the financial responsibility to each other, but not using to meet the financial requirement of £18,600. We're not sure if the Thai bank account falls within the 28 days rule or not.

Thank you
