You can dispose of your "run of the mill masks" that your pharmacist was so happy to sell you. They are useless when it comes to "the Virus".

= Look at any measuring stick. Look at how long 1mm is. If you would line up those viruses in a straight line (like little soldiers), how many would fit into the lenght of 1mm?
Answer: 10'000 (tenthousand). No cheap "run of the mill" mask will do any good.

To be effective, a mask would have to have a density (breathing-resistance) that only an air-compressor would be able to overcome. Without it, normal breathing would be impossible.

 

The only benefit I can see in this "Masquerade" is for elderly Ladies that have no more teeth left as they can approach Farangs without having to disclose their dental shortcomings.

 

Other than that, I am confident that the TAT will soon issue the following directive: "The clean air of BKK in combination with the consumption of liberal amounts of Beer-Chang will serve as a protective shield for every Tourist visiting Thailand". Or something similar. Wanna bet?

When the virus scare is over and there are zillions of unsold masks, I envisage an ad showing face masks hooked on the end of pickup exhaust to clean BKK & CM air...????
